Image-Guided Thermal Ablation as an Alternative to Surgery for Papillary Thyroid Microcarcinoma: Preliminary Results of an Italian Experience

Summary: The study presented the results of treating 11 patients with papillary thyroid microcarcinoma using image-guided thermal ablation, achieving a 100% technical success rate and reduction in ablated volume from preoperative planning to follow-up. There were no recurrences during the follow-up period, and patients expressed high satisfaction and low pain perception during and after the procedure.
