Summary: This study analyzed samples from participants in 11 hospitals in Bangladesh to describe the burden of diarrhea pathogens, finding that rotavirus, adenovirus 40/41, and Vibrio cholerae were the leading causes of infectious diarrhea requiring hospitalization in the country. Other important pathogens included astrovirus, norovirus, Shigella, Salmonella, ETEC, sapovirus, and typical EPEC, with variations in prevalence across age groups and geographical locations.
