Facile fabrication of TaON/Bi2MoO6 core-shell S-scheme heterojunction nanofibers for boosting visible-light catalytic levofloxacin degradation and Cr(VI) reduction

Shijie Li et al.

Summary: The study developed a novel TaON/Bi2MoO6 S-scheme heterojunction photocatalyst with a core-shell fiber-shaped structure, demonstrating high catalytic activity towards levofloxacin antibiotic degradation and Cr(VI) reduction. The material showed excellent stability and reusability, and a possible photocatalytic reaction mechanism for removal of LEV and Cr(VI) was proposed, providing insights for fabricating efficient water purification photocatalysts.

Facile construction of novel organic-inorganic tetra (4-carboxyphenyl) porphyrin/Bi2MoO6 heterojunction for tetracycline degradation: Performance, degradation pathways, intermediate toxicity analysis and mechanism insight

Chunchun Wang et al.

Summary: Developing durable photocatalysts for efficient antibiotics degradation is crucial for environmental purification. In this study, hierarchical organic-inorganic TCPP/Bi2MoO6 heterojunctions were successfully synthesized and showed superior photocatalytic performance in the visible light degradation of tetracycline hydrochloride. The high catalytic activity was attributed to the interfacial interaction between TCPP and Bi2MoO6, which facilitated charge carrier separation and enhanced visible-light absorbance.

Synthesis of ZnIn2S4@Co3S4 particles derived from ZIF-67 for photocatalytic hydrogen production

Ganyu Wang et al.

Summary: In this study, ZIF-67 derivative Co3S4 with diamond dodecahedron structure was synthesized and ZnIn2S4@Co3S4 heterostructures with adjustable band gaps were successfully obtained. The heterostructures showed significantly enhanced visible light absorption and improved photocatalytic efficiency, with the ZC-5 composite exhibiting the highest photocatalytic hydrogen production rate. The enhanced photocatalytic activity is attributed to faster electron transfer and more efficient electron-hole pairs separation at the interface between Co3S4 and ZnIn2S4.
