Stellate ganglion block used to treat reversible cerebral vasoconstriction syndrome

Summary: This case report describes a patient with severe reversible cerebral vasoconstriction syndrome who did not respond to typical treatment, but showed improvement after receiving a stellate ganglion block. The success of sympathetic blockade in this case suggests it may be a potential rescue therapy for patients with severe vasospasm. Further research is needed to determine the role of stellate ganglion block in routine or rescue therapy for severe vasospasm.
