A synthesized redox-active multidentate N-P ligand reacted with UCl4 in the presence of KHMDS or (BuLi)-Bu-n, forming two novel U(iv) complexes, one with P-P coupling and one without. The reversible P-P coupling in these complexes was observed in redox-induced reactions.
