Efficient and accessible silane-mediated direct amide coupling of carboxylic acids and amines

Melissa C. D'Amaral et al.

Summary: A direct method for synthesizing amides using diphenylsilane and N-methylpyrrolidine as catalyst without excluding air or moisture has been developed. This method efficiently produces various amides with broad functional group compatibility, as demonstrated through a Glorius robustness study. The scalability of this method is shown through gram-scale synthesis.
