Nanodevices engineering and spin transport properties of MnBi2Te4 monolayer

Yipeng An et al.

Summary: Conceptual nanodevices based on MBT monolayer have been designed and their spin-dependent transport properties have been revealed through first-principles calculations. These devices exhibit strong rectifying effect and spin filtering effect, with an interesting negative differential resistive (NDR) effect and strong response to light. The multifunctional nature of MBT monolayer has been uncovered, paving the way for its applications in diverse next-generation semiconductor spin electric devices.

The role of chalcogen vacancies for atomic defect emission in MoS2

Elmar Mitterreiter et al.

Summary: The authors correlated various fabrication processes, optical spectroscopy, and electron microscopy to identify the optical signatures of chalcogen vacancies in monolayer MoS2. They found that chalcogen vacancies can be precisely patterned using ion beams and exhibit specific optical characteristics.
