Nature of X(6900) and its production mechanism at LHCb

Chang Gong et al.

Summary: We find that Pomeron exchanges play a crucial role in vector charmonium scatterings and can provide an explanation for the unique structures observed by the LHCb Collaboration. The presence of a narrow structure X(6900), formed by the exchange of Pomerons and coupled-channel effects, is predicted near the di-J/psi threshold. Furthermore, we predict that X(6900) will result in significant threshold enhancement in the J/psi-psi(2S) energy spectrum, which can be detected at LHCb.

Deciphering the recently discovered tetraquark candidates around 6.9 GeV

Jacob Sonnenschein et al.

Summary: A novel hadronic state with a mass of 6.9 GeV discovered by LHCb decays mainly to a pair of charmonia, while data also suggests the presence of broader structures and unconfirmed resonances. It is argued that these exotic hadrons are tetraquarks with a V-baryonium structure, and the need for further research and testing for the decay of the state at 7.2 GeV into Xi ccXi cc is emphasized.

On the mechanism of T4c(6900) tetraquark production

Rafal Maciula et al.

Summary: The study discusses the production mechanism of a putative fully charm tetraquark observed by LHCb recently, considering both single parton scattering (SPS) and double parton scattering (DPS) mechanisms. Calculations show that the contribution of DPS is almost two orders of magnitude larger than SPS, but the tetraquark formation mechanism remains unknown. The preferred spin scenario is 0(+) over 0(-) based on comparison with LHCb preliminary data.

Evidence of a J/ψΛ structure and observation of excited Ξ- states in the Ξb- → J/ψΛK- decay

R. Aaij et al.

Summary: The first evidence of a structure in the J/psi Lambda invariant mass distribution is obtained from an amplitude analysis of Xi(-)(b) -> J/psi Lambda K- decays. The observed structure is consistent with being due to a charmonium pentaquark with strangeness. Additionally, narrow excited Xi(-) states have been seen for the first time in a Xi(-)(b) decay.

Tetraquark state X(6900) and the interaction between diquark and antidiquark

Hong-Wei Ke et al.

Summary: This study investigates the possible cc-(c) over bar(c) over bar bound states and the interaction between diquark (cc) and antidiquark ((c) over bar(c) over bar) within the Bethe-Salpeter framework. Numerical solutions of the B-S equations for different quantum numbers show that some excited states' spectra can be close to the mass of the newly discovered X(6900) with appropriate parameter values. Future measurements of the bb-(b) over bar(b) over bar state may aid in determining the exact form of effective interaction.

Nonrelativistic treatment of fully-heavy tetraquarks as diquark-antidiquark states

Halil Mutuk

Summary: This study aimed to estimate the masses of ground and excited states of fully-heavy tetraquark systems using a nonrelativistic model. The predicted masses of ground states were found to be higher than the decay thresholds, making them difficult to observe experimentally, while the first excited states showed lower masses compared to their respective thresholds, suggesting potential observability in experiments.

Fully-heavy structures in the invariant mass spectrum of J/ψψ (3686) J/ψψ (3770), ψ(3686)ψ(3686), and J/ψ(sic)(1S) at hadron colliders

Jun-Zhang Wang et al.

Summary: In this work, the line shape of potential fully-heavy structures in the invariant mass spectrum of J/psi psi(3686) at high-energy proton-proton collisions was predicted based on a dynamical rescattering picture. The mu(+)mu(-) pair was identified as more efficient in experimentally reconstructing these structures compared to Q (Q) over bar meson with other quantum numbers, with corresponding peak mass positions provided for each predicted fully-heavy structure. The theoretical studies conducted here may offer valuable information for future measurement proposals of LHCb and CMS, especially utilizing data from completing Run III of LHC.

Summary: The study investigates the production of fully-heavy tetraquark states T-4Q in gamma gamma interactions at the LHC, focusing on the γγ -> QQ(Q = J/psi, Y) subprocess mediated by the T-4Q resonance in the s-channel. Summary: The analysis of LHCb data on X(6900) in the di-J/psi system suggests that both confining and molecular states are possible. However, the exact nature of X(6900) remains unclear with current statistics, though it is likely to have the same quantum numbers as the lowest state in the di-J/psi system and is probably not interpreted as a J/psi - psi(2S) molecular state.

Exclusive radiative production of fully-charmed tetraquarks at B factory

Summary: The study uses a novel factorization formula within the NRQCD framework to analyze the exclusive production of fully-charmed tetraquark T-4c with a hard photon at a super B factory. By concentrating on the production of 0(++) and 2(++) T-4c with a photon and making rough estimates about unknown nonperturbative NRQCD matrix elements in a simplified model, the study predicts the production rates of these exclusive production channels at root s = 10.58 GeV and evaluates their observation prospect at the Belle 2 experiment.

Hunting for states in the recent LHCb di-J/ψ invariant mass spectrum

Ze-Rui Liang et al.

Summary: Partial wave analysis was conducted using effective potentials to scrutinize recent LHCb data on the di-J/psi invariant mass spectrum. Coupled-channel effects were taken into account in the production amplitude via final state interactions. A dynamically generated pole structure identified as the X(6900) state was found, along with hints of three other possible states. More experimental data, such as J/psi psi(2S), J/psi psi(3770), and di-psi(2S), are needed for further determination of these states.

Higher fully charmed tetraquarks: Radial excitations and P-wave states

Summary: In this study, the mass spectrum of fully charmed tetraquark ccc c states is systematically calculated using a nonrelativistic quark model, uncovering large mass splittings for rho-mode excitations with different color configurations. Mass spectra and wave functions of TQQ(Q)over-bar(Q)over-bar tetraquarks

Summary: This study investigates compact tetraquark states with fully heavy quark contents, deriving mass spectra and wave functions numerically. The results show the ground state mass ranges for cc (c) over bar(c) over bar and bb (b) over bar(b) over bar tetraquarks. The relativistic wave functions obtained can be used for precise calculations of tetraquark decays, suggesting that the observed X(6900) by LHCb may not be the ground state but possibly an excited state. Additionally, a widely used propagatorlike form factor is also explored and discussed.
