Collision Models Can Efficiently Simulate Any Multipartite Markovian Quantum Dynamics

Marco Cattaneo et al.

Summary: The paper introduces the multipartite collision model to simulate the Markovian dynamics of any multipartite open quantum system, demonstrates an analytical error bound estimation method for repeated interactions models, and proves the optimal scaling of the error in the scheme. It also provides a simple decomposition of the multipartite collision model into elementary quantum gates, showing its efficient simulation on a quantum computer with a polynomial number of resources according to the dissipative quantum Church-Turing theorem.

Quantum-memory-enhanced dissipative entanglement creation in nonequilibrium steady states

Daniel Heineken et al.

Summary: This study investigates the dissipative preparation of entangled nonequilibrium steady states using a collision model with qubits coupled to heat reservoirs. The research shows that only a certain bath temperature range allows for entangled NESS and quantum memory effects play a crucial role. Additionally, the study identifies a heat current range that guarantees entanglement of nonequilibrium steady states.

Quantum Rayleigh problem and thermocoherent Onsager relations

Onur Pusuluk et al.

Summary: The study found that quantum discord and entanglement contribute to genuine heat flow only when associated with heat-exchange coherences. By using entropy production rate and quantum Onsager relations, coherence currents can be identified, predicting and optimizing coherent Peltier and Seebeck effects.
