Significance of Lorentz and Coriolis forces on dynamics of water based silver tiny particles via finite element simulation

Bagh Ali et al.

Summary: This study investigates the effects of volume fraction, Coriolis, and Lorentz forces on the dynamics of rotating water based silver tiny particles flow for the purpose of improving heat transportation. The results show that increasing contributions of Coriolis and Lorentz forces lead to a decrease in primary and secondary velocities, while the temperature function and skin friction factor exhibit an opposite trend. Temperature distribution and reduced Nusselt number increase with growing volume fraction, but velocities distributions show an inverse trend. These findings are significant for applications in plastic films, crystal growing, paper production, heat exchangers, and bio-medicine.
