Neurosensory therapies combined with recreational activities have been proven effective in improving fine motor skills in children, demonstrating significant improvement in eye-hand coordination, digital grasp, finger flexibility, and other skills.
Through the use of neurosensory therapies with recreational activities in preschoolers who attend the early stimulation area of the Alfonso Villagomez Roman Pediatric Hospital in the city of Riobamba, it was proposed to recover the level of fine motor skills and provide strategies that can be planned and executed in health, educational and family settings. Based on the evaluation of the fine motor level of fifty children with psychomotor development disorders through the Nelson Ortiz Abbreviated Development Scale (EAD), during the year 2020, neurosensory therapies with recreational activities have been implemented according to the age of each child of the study. The main results show how a significant improvement is achieved, statistically proven by performing a student t test for related samples, which is expressed in the legacy of this study by demonstrating the efficacy of neurosensory therapies using recreational activities in the recovery of skills of eye-hand coordination, digital grasp, flexion and expansion of the fingers, mobility of the wrist and development of the sense of touch to recognize texture with the fingers of the hands. It is possible to provide exercises that stimulate fun through play with concrete materials that are easy to acquire and imitate these activities at home, professionals in the area of health, rehabilitation, education, social services.
