Does Parental Education Influence Child Educational Outcomes? A Developmental Analysis in a Full-Population Sample and Adoptee Design

Summary: Parental education significantly predicts children's educational outcomes, but the effects are not observed among adoptees without genetic similarity. The transmission of education across generations may have the most impact on children early in their educational development, with lasting consequences throughout their educational journey.
