Sexual fantasy across gender identity: a qualitative investigation of differences between cisgender and non-binary people's imagery

Summary: The study examined the relationship between intimate relationships of transgender individuals in the United States and background discrimination. Findings indicate that participants have positive attitudes towards future relationships, especially for those with animal companions and higher levels of resiliency; participants currently in relationships have higher satisfaction with significant other support, especially for those in relationship with other transgender individuals; lower psychological distress is associated with significant other support, but less so for older or agender participants; participants are generally satisfied with their current relationships, especially those with higher incomes.
