Anticholinergic Burden Measures Predict Older People's Physical Function and Quality of Life: A Systematic Review

Carrie Stewart et al.

Summary: This systematic review compared the evidence of anticholinergic burden (ACB) measures in predicting changes in physical function and quality of life in older people. The study found an association between increased ACB and impairments in physical function and quality of life, but no superior measure was identified. Further well-designed longitudinal studies are needed to determine the best prognostic value of ACB measures.
