This study introduces VFP-soft sets to address the limitations of FP-soft sets in solving uncertainty problems. It demonstrates through an algorithm that VFP-soft set theory is more effective in approximating uncertainty to the ideal solution. Specific parameter sets increase the availability of alternative solutions, facilitating the selection of the most ideal solution from multiple options.
This study was conducted to overcome the inadequacies of FP-soft sets in solving some uncertainty problems. For this purpose, VFP-soft sets are defined and some important properties of the theory are given. Then, it is proposed to use VFP-soft sets to solve similar problems by using an algorithm to show that VFP-soft set theory is more successful than FP-soft set theory in approximation of uncertainty to the ideal solution. In addition, in this study, specific parameter sets make more alternative solutions available for solving uncertainty problems. This makes it easier to choose the most ideal solution from many solutions.
