The aim of this article is to present the papyri and ostraca collected by Eduard Toda in Egypt between 1884 and 1886, during his tenure as Spanish vice-consul in Cairo. Drawing from the copies of inventory of the collection made by Toda and some of his publications, we have tried to determine the exact number of pieces, their nature as well as their current whereabouts. After the analysis of the provenance and acquisition circumstances of these ostraca and papyri, we discuss Toda's interest in these pieces of his collection.
