The coexistence of wireless data links and radio sensing instruments on scientific satellites presents challenges for electromagnetic compatibility. Integrating filtering functions into the downlink antenna can effectively improve isolation by suppressing out-of-band emissions. This manuscript introduces a filtenna design based on radial stub insertion in a coaxial horn and presents simulated results to validate the principle.
