Public Trust and Political Legitimacy in the Smart City: A Reckoning for Technocracy

Trust in smart city mechanisms and governance positively correlated with support for smart cities, highlighting a theoretical and practical challenge in discussions about the political legitimacy of scientific and technological undertakings in the public sector.
