Summary: The study investigated the solvent extraction of cerium(IV) and precipitation kinetics, leading to a potential method for extracting cerium(IV) from sulfate leach liquor and recovering cerium(III) oxalate. The findings showed that the precipitation kinetics followed the Avrami equation, with n values indicating instantaneous nucleation and growth of the precipitates in a flakes shape. The apparent activation energy for the precipitation reaction suggested a diffusion-controlled mechanism, supported by the surface site saturation of cerium(III) oxalate through the Avrami equation constants.
