Soret-Dufour mechanism on an electrically conducting nanofluid flow past a semi-infinite porous plate with buoyancy force and chemical reaction influence

Bidemi O. Falodun et al.

Summary: This study numerically investigates the flow of an electrically conducting and chemically reacting nanofluid over a semi-infinite porous vertical plate under the influences of Soret-Dufour and nonlinear buoyancy force. The results show that an increase in the radiation parameter enhances both velocities and temperature profiles. Comparisons with previous studies demonstrate excellent agreement in the findings.

Plasma Hsp90 levels in patients with systemic sclerosis and relation to lung and skin involvement: a cross-sectional and longitudinal study

Hana Storkanova et al.

Summary: According to the study, plasma levels of Hsp90 are increased in patients with systemic sclerosis compared to healthy controls, and are associated with increased inflammatory activity, worsened lung function, and extent of skin involvement in patients with diffuse cutaneous systemic sclerosis. In patients with systemic sclerosis-associated interstitial lung disease treated with cyclophosphamide, baseline Hsp90 levels can predict changes in DLCO over 12 months of therapy.

Convective heat and zero-mass flux conditions in the time-dependent second-grade nanofluid flow by unsteady bidirectional surface movement

M. Ahmad et al.

Summary: In this paper, a theoretical model is developed to study the time-dependent 3D magnetohydrodynamics second-grade (SG) nanofluid with radiation effects past an unsteady stretched surface by considering the physical effects of thermophoresis and Brownian movement. Practical boundary conditions, dimensionless variables, and numerical methods are used to analyze skin-friction data, energy transportation rate, and nanofluid properties. Analysis of different parametric values and comparison with limiting cases are also provided to validate the results.

Analyzing the impact of induced magnetic flux and Fourier's and Fick's theories on the Carreau-Yasuda nanofluid flow

Seemab Bashir et al.

Summary: The study analyzes the effects of modified Fourier and Fick's theories on Carreau-Yasuda nanofluid flow over a stretched surface. Results show an increase in nanoparticle concentration with increasing chemical reaction, as well as an increase in efficiency of Brownian motion and thermophoresis parameter. Additionally, an opposite behavior of velocity profile and skin friction coefficient is observed with increasing stretching ratio parameter.

Bioconvective Reiner-Rivlin nanofluid flow over a rotating disk with Cattaneo-Christov flow heat flux and entropy generation analysis

Yu-Pei Lv et al.

Summary: A new type of non-Newtonian fluid named Reiner-Rivlin nanofluid flow over a rough rotating disk with Cattaneo-Christov (C-C) heat flux is studied in a permeable media, with the stability of the nanoparticles augmented by adding gyrotactic microorganisms. The concept is improved by considering factors like Arrhenius activation energy, chemical reaction, slip, and convective conditions at the surface boundary. The entropy generation is evaluated using the second law of thermodynamics, and the results are compared with a previously published paper to validate the accuracy of the model.

Multiple slips impact in the MHD hybrid nanofluid flow with Cattaneo-Christov heat flux and autocatalytic chemical reaction

Hina Gul et al.

Summary: This study examines the flow of nanofluid containing multi and single-walled carbon nanotubes submerged in Ethylene glycol in a Darcy-Forchheimer permeable media over a stretching cylinder with multiple slips. The mathematical model takes into account non-uniform source/sink impacts, modified Fourier law, and autocatalytic chemical reaction. Entropy optimization analysis is performed and the nonlinear system is converted to ordinary differential equations for solution using the Shooting technique and bvp4c MATLAB software. The study shows that a strong magnetic field enhances temperature profile and decreases velocity profile, while fluid velocity decreases with increasing slip parameter. Additionally, entropy number increases with higher thermal relaxation parameter and Reynolds number.
