Influence of base fluid, temperature, and concentration on the thermophysical properties of hybrid nanofluids of alumina-ferrofluid: experimental data, modeling through enhanced ANN, ANFIS, and curve fitting

S. O. Giwa et al.

Summary: The study investigated the suspension of hybrid nanoparticles in conventional fluids to improve the thermophysical properties of nanofluids, specifically focusing on the trio influence of volume concentration, base fluid, and temperature on the electrical conductivity and viscosity of hybrid alumina-ferrofluids. The results showed that an increase in volume concentration enhanced the viscosity and electrical conductivity of the hybrid alumina-ferrofluids, while a rise in temperature enhanced their electrical conductivity but detracted the viscosity. Additionally, DW-based hybrid alumina-ferrofluid exhibited lower viscosity and higher electrical conductivity compared to the EG-DW-based counterpart.

An experimental report and new correlation for estimating the dynamic viscosity of MWCNT(50)-ZnO(50)/SAE 50 as nano-lubricant

Mohammad Hemmat Esfe

Summary: This study experimentally investigated the viscosity and rheological behavior of SAE 50 engine oil containing MWCNT-ZnO nanoparticles. The results demonstrated non-Newtonian behavior in nano-oil, similar to non-Newtonian shear-thinning fluids. A new mathematical correlation was proposed to improve prediction accuracy and reduce costs in future studies.

Significance of haphazard motion and thermal migration of alumina and copper nanoparticles across the dynamics of water and ethylene glycol on a convectively heated surface

Ying-Qing Song et al.

Summary: This study investigates the impact of haphazard motion of alumina and copper nanoparticles on temperature distribution and thermo-migration under the phenomenon of transport along a vertical surface. The results show that at high Biot numbers and thermo-migration, with a less thick base fluid, the heat conduction of water exceeds that of ethylene glycol.

Significance of Coriolis force, volume fraction, and heat source/sink on the dynamics of water conveying 47 nm alumina nanoparticles over a uniform surface

A. S. Oke et al.

Summary: This study focuses on the applications of water conveying 47nm alumina nanoparticles in mechanical and biomedical industries. It was found that Coriolis force and heat source significantly impact the motion, temperature distribution, and concentration of nanofluids. Increasing the volume fraction of alumina particles enhances heat transfer rate and shear stress at the wall.

Significance of buoyancy and Lorentz forces on water-conveying iron(III) oxide and silver nanoparticles in a rectangular cavity mounted with two heated fins: heat transfer analysis

G. Sowmya et al.

Summary: The study investigates natural convection heat transfer of hybrid nanofluid in a rectangular cavity with heated fins, with results showing laminar flow at low Rayleigh numbers and turbulent flow at higher Rayleigh numbers. The intensity of velocity profile and streamline function increases with the Rayleigh number, and the nanoparticle volume fraction affects the thermal profile and streamlined function.

Effects of hybrid nanofluid on novel fractional model of heat transfer flow between two parallel plates

Muhammad Danish Ikram et al.

Summary: This paper discusses the fractional model of Brinkman type fluid (BTF) holding hybrid nanoparticles, solving the governing equations using Laplace transform method. The tested outcomes show that the constant proportional Caputo fractional operator (CPC) exhibits better memory effect than Caputo-Fabrizio fractional operator (CF).
