Effect of dewaxing on saccharification and ethanol production from different lignocellulosic biomass

Marttin Paulraj Gundupalli et al.

Summary: The study revealed that dewaxing and alkaline pretreatment have significant impacts on saccharification and ethanol yield from lignocellulose. Samples treated with dewaxing showed higher yields of sugars and ethanol. This treatment also resulted in significant changes in plant compositions, surface morphology, and functional groups.

Lignocellulose hydrolytic enzymes production byAspergillus flavusKUB2 using submerged fermentation of sugarcane bagasse waste

Nattida Namnuch et al.

Summary: The study demonstrates that sugarcane bagasse is a good source for production of cellulolytic and hemicellulolytic enzymes, with higher activities compared to commercial substrates. Aspergillus flavus KUB2 showed highest enzyme activities at 14 days of fermentation, indicating its efficient capability for lignocellulose degradation.
