An analysis of systematic effects in finite size scaling studies using the gradient flow

Alessandro Nada et al.

Summary: The proposal introduces a new strategy for determining the step scaling function sigma (u) in finite size scaling studies using the gradient flow, showing better control over continuum extrapolations in pure gauge theory. Additionally, it reexamines the running coupling at high energies and the determination of the Lambda-parameter, focusing on perturbative truncation uncertainties.

Entangling Power and Quantum Circuit Complexity

J. Eisert

Summary: The notions of circuit complexity and cost are crucial in quantum computing and simulation, with implications for entanglement and unitary cost, providing insights into complexity growth for short times and comparing digital and analog quantum simulators. The main technical contribution is a continuous-variable small incremental entangling bound.

Deep inelastic scattering as a probe of entanglement: Confronting experimental data

Dmitri E. Kharzeev et al.

Summary: The text discusses how to define parton distributions based on the entanglement entropy between the probed region in deep inelastic scattering and the rest of the proton. It argues that a more accurate account of the number of color-singlet dipoles in the H1 experiment can be given by the sea quark structure function and 1/N corrections. By taking these modifications into account, the data from the H1 collaboration align well with the prediction based on entanglement.

Diffusion and operator entanglement spreading

Vincenzo Alba

Summary: Understanding the dynamics of operator space entanglement entropy (OSEE) is crucial for exploring out-of-equilibrium quantum many-body systems, and for integrable models, the OSEE dynamics are related to the diffusion of the operator front. A logarithmic bound 1/2 ln(t ) for OSEE of simple diagonal local operators is derived and numerically tested in representative interacting integrable systems. The saturation of this bound is shown in different systems, indicating universality in OSEE growth independent of chain anisotropy. Integrability breaking effects are discussed, highlighting strong finite-time effects hindering the probing of OSEE asymptotic behavior.
