Hydrodynamics in lattice models with continuous non-Abelian symmetries

Paolo Glorioso et al.

Summary: The study develops a systematic effective field theory for hydrodynamics of many-body systems with global continuous non-Abelian symmetries on the lattice, revealing certain physical phenomena and differences in these models. It finds that non-integrable spin chains on a lattice exhibit conventional spin diffusion, contrary to some recent predictions of logarithmic growth at late times. The apparent enhancement of diffusion is attributed to slow equilibration caused by (non-Abelian) hydrodynamic fluctuations.

Nonequilibrium Dynamics and Weakly Broken Integrability

Joseph Durnin et al.

Summary: Motivated by experiments on cold atomic gases, a quantum kinetic approach to weakly perturbed integrable models out of equilibrium is developed. Using exact matrix elements, an analytical approach to real-time dynamics is established, providing predictions for physical quantities' time evolution and conceptual links between quantum many-body dynamics and classical theory. Specific perturbations that do not cause thermalization in the weakly perturbed regime are identified.

Superuniversality of Superdiffusion

Enej Ilievski et al.

Summary: Anomalous finite-temperature transport behavior has been comprehensively explained through group theory in various integrable models in one dimension. The transport of Noether charges associated with symmetry G in thermal states invariant under G is universally superdiffusive, with a dynamical exponent of z = 3/2, regardless of the specific details of the system's symmetry, local degrees of freedom, Lorentz invariance, or microscopic interactions.

Dephasing enhanced transport in boundary-driven quasiperiodic chains

Artur M. Lacerda et al.

Summary: The study investigates dephasing enhanced transport in boundary-driven quasiperiodic systems. Modeling dephasing with current-preserving Lindblad dissipators on noninteracting Aubry-André-Harper and Fibonacci bulk systems, it is found that sufficiently strong dephasing can render transport diffusive and control noise enhanced transport. The interplay between dephasing and quasiperiodicity leads to a maximum diffusion coefficient for finite dephasing, highlighting the potential of combining quasiperiodic geometries and dephasing for transport control.

Quantum dynamics in the interacting Fibonacci chain

Cecilia Chiaracane et al.

Summary: The study investigates whether anomalous diffusion in the noninteracting Fibonacci model persists in the presence of interactions and establishes connections to a possible transition towards a localized phase. This is done by studying real-time spread of density-density correlations, calculating the participation entropy in configuration space, and investigating the expectation value of local observables in the diagonal ensemble to corroborate the findings.

Hydrodynamics of nonintegrable systems from a relaxation-time approximation

Javier Lopez-Piqueres et al.

Summary: The study developed a general kinetic theory framework to describe the hydrodynamics of strongly interacting, nonequilibrium quantum systems, employing a generalized relaxation-time approximation for computing nonequilibrium transport with surprisingly accurate results. Despite its simplicity, the framework was able to capture phenomena unique to strongly interacting systems, such as distinct charge and energy diffusion constants.

Many-body localization in the interpolating Aubry-Andre-Fibonacci model

Antonio Strkalj et al.

Summary: This study investigates the localization properties of a spin chain with antiferromagnetic nearest-neighbor coupling and an external quasiperiodic on-site magnetic field. The research reveals how stronger many-body interactions affect the localization phase transition points and describes an anomalous effect of many-body interactions on the single-particle spectrum. The model serves as a rich playground for testing many-body localization under tunable potentials.
