Relay interlayer synchronisation: invariance and stability conditions

Sarbendu Rakshit et al.

Summary: This paper investigates the existence and stability of relay interlayer synchronization in a chain of multiplex networks. The dynamics of nodes in symmetric positions on both sides of the non-identical middlemost layer(s) are identical. Analytical conditions for local and global stability of this synchronization state are derived using the master stability function approach and a suitable Lyapunov function, respectively. The impact of interlayer and intralayer coupling strengths, variations of system parameters in the relay layers, and demultiplexing on the emergence of relay interlayer synchrony are explored through numerical simulations.

The synchronized dynamics of time-varying networks

Dibakar Ghosh et al.

Summary: Complex network theory has provided an ideal framework for studying the relationships between the connectivity patterns and emergent synchronized functioning in systems. This review summarizes the major results of contemporary studies on synchronization in time-varying networks, focusing on two paradigmatic frameworks. It also discusses promising directions and open problems for future research.

Magnetotransport of dirty-limit van Hove singularity quasiparticles

Yang Xu et al.

Summary: This study investigates the unusual Fermi liquid behavior of calcium-doped strontium ruthenate through magnetotransport, revealing the persistence of Fermi liquid properties across metamagnetic transitions and an unusually strong variation of the Kadowaki-Woods ratio. The authors suggest that this Fermi liquid behavior may stem from disorder-introduced van Hove singularities.

The Multiplex Decomposition: An Analytic Framework for Multilayer Dynamical Networks

Rico Berner et al.

Summary: Multiplex networks consist of multiple layers with the same number of nodes and diagonal adjacency matrices between layers. This study focuses on a special class of multiplex networks where adjacency matrices for each layer can be simultaneously triangularized. A generalized master stability approach is proposed for a simplified description of stability of synchronized solutions in multiplex networks.
