The spectroscopy of C-11 is investigated using the resonant scattering of B-10 + p with the thick target inverse kinematic method. Resonances in C-11 between the excitation energy of 9.6 and 11.8 MeV are observed. The resonant parameters are extracted and compared with previous data.
The spectroscopy of C-11 has been investigated by the resonant scattering of B-10 + p with the thick target inverse kinematic method. The H-1(B-10, p)B-10 reaction was measured at theta(c.m.) = 180 degrees, 170 degrees, 160 degrees, 150 degrees, and 140 degrees using a 35.93 MeV B-10 beam. Resonances in C-11 between the excitation energy of 9.6 and 11.8 MeV are observed. The excitation functions are compared with previous data using thin target direct kinematics measurements. A multichannel R-matrix calculation under the kinematics assumption of resonant elastic scattering is performed and the resonant parameters, such as the resonant energy E-x, the spin-parity J(pi), and the proton-decay partial width Gamma(p) are extracted.
