Cancer progress monitoring for early diagnosis and prevention of relapse is highly desirable for human health. Developing effective methods to detect cancer cells are urgent tasks for clinical applications. In this case, a nanoarchitectured electrochemical cytosensor for selective detection of cancer cells is investigated. Generally, DNA tetrahedron nanostructure assembles on a gold electrode and the aptamer sequence on top of the scaffold can capture cancer cells selectively. By further loading of Cys-Arg-Gly-Asp-Ser (CRGDS) modified silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) on the cells, a sandwich structure forms and the stripping current from AgNPs is recorded to reflect the level of cancer cells. This simply constructed electrochemical cytosensor shows good performance for cancer cells analysis, which is attributed to the combination of DNA tetrahedron nanostructure and stripping analysis. Therefore, this proposed method may have potential applications for improving cancer diagnosis.
