Global review of tobacco product flavour policies

Summary: Flavoured tobacco products are prohibited or restricted in 11 countries and the EU, with a focus on dissuading youth from tobacco use. Policies cover products made of tobacco leaf and consistently prohibit flavours associated with fruits, vanilla and spices. Further research is needed to examine the implementation and impacts of these policies to assist other countries interested in similar actions.
