Gauge/Gravity Dynamics for Composite Higgs Models and the Top Mass

Johanna Erdmenger et al.

Summary: This study provides gauge/gravity dual descriptions of the strong coupling sector of composite Higgs models using insights from nonconformal examples of the AdS/CFT correspondence. The calculation of particle masses and pion decay constants for Sp(4) and SU(4) gauge theories shows results comparable to lattice studies, demonstrating the greater flexibility in choosing the fermion content leads to significant changes in bound state masses. The inclusion of suitable higher dimension operators can ensure a top mass consistent with the standard model.

Composite Higgs meets Planck scale: Partial compositeness from partial unification

Giacomo Cacciapaglia et al.

Summary: The article discusses a framework based on partial unification that can generate couplings and masses for standard model fermions, including neutrinos, while presenting a specific model to demonstrate this approach. Researchers point out that the Sp(4) hypercolor group and lattice studies will be crucial for validating the model.

Combined constraints on first generation leptoquarks

Andreas Crivellin et al.

Summary: In this article, we conducted a combined analysis of low energy precision constraints and LHC searches for leptoquarks coupling to first generation fermions. By considering all ten leptoquark representations, we found that the recent nonresonant dilepton analysis of ATLAS provides stronger bounds on t-channel production of leptoquarks than the resonant searches. Despite various constraints, none of the leptoquark representations can explain the Cabibbo-angle anomaly through direct contributions to superallowed beta decays.

Techni-Pati-Salam composite Higgs model

Giacomo Cacciapaglia et al.

Summary: Composite Higgs models can be extended to the Planck scale using the partially unified partial compositeness (PUPC) framework. The Techni-Pati-Salam model is based on a renormalizable gauge theory and predicts masses and mixings for standard model fermions through partial compositeness at low energy. This model also suggests the presence of a dark matter candidate in the few TeV range.
