Association of resuscitative endovascular balloon occlusion of the aorta (REBOA) and mortality in penetrating trauma patients

Alberto F. Garcia et al.

Summary: The study aimed to explore the relationship between REBOA and mortality in patients with penetrating trauma in Colombia. After adjusting for various factors, it was found that patients treated with REBOA had lower adjusted odds of mortality compared to those without REBOA. These results should be interpreted cautiously and validated in future comparative studies.
