Summary: This study investigated the relationship between trace element levels and aortic valve sclerosis (AVSc), aiming to explore the potential clinical significance of serum zinc, selenium, copper, and iron concentrations as biomarkers for AVSc. The results showed that AVSc patients had significantly lower serum zinc levels compared to healthy subjects, while there were no significant differences in serum iron, selenium, and copper levels. AVSc patients also exhibited a higher prevalence of obesity, hypertension, and diabetes.
