Mechanical characterization of mortar reinforced by date palm mesh fibers: Experimental and statistical analysis

Hocine Khelifa et al.

Summary: This study investigated the influence of four parameters on the bending and compression properties of bio-fiber reinforced mortar using short Mesh date palm fibers in a cement matrix. The results showed that incorporating mesh date palm fibers into the mortar improved the mechanical properties significantly. The optimization of mechanical properties showed promising results with notable increases in bending stress and modulus compared to the reference mortar case.
