Association of Optic Nerve Head Prelaminar Schisis With Glaucoma

Eugene A. Lowry et al.

Summary: The frequency and severity of optic nerve head prelaminar schisis were found to be greater in glaucoma and glaucoma suspect eyes compared to healthy control eyes, and were associated with markers of glaucoma severity.

Clinical Features of Advanced Glaucoma With Optic Nerve Head Prelaminar Schisis

Mi Sun Sung et al.

Summary: The study found that the presence of optic nerve head (ONH) prelaminar schisis in eyes with advanced glaucoma is associated with specific characteristics of the lamina cribrosa and macular thickness. In patients with these features, macular measurements are better predictors of functional status than peripapillary or ONH measurements.

The Effect of Ametropia on Glaucomatous Visual Field Loss

Eun Young Choi et al.

Summary: The study explored the relationship between ametropia and patterns of visual field loss in glaucoma. Myopia was associated with decreased PD at paracentral and temporal VF locations, while hyperopia was linked to decreased PD at Bjerrum and nasal step locations. The severity of VF loss modulated the effect of ametropia.
