The Interrelation Between Language Anxiety and Self-Determined Motivation; A Mixed Methods Approach

Grit and language learning: construct validation of L2-Grit scale and its relation to later vocabulary knowledge

Summary: This study empirically examined the validity of grit among language learners using the newly developed L2-Grit Scale, finding it to be reliable and valid in L2 research. Results showed that grit did not have a direct effect on later vocabulary knowledge, but was indirectly related through later endorsement of grit.
