A carbazole-incorporated photochromic radical complex is synthesized, and the long-wavelength photosensitivity of the molecule is enhanced up to around 580 nm by substituting a triphenylamine group at the 3-position of the carbazole moiety. The photochromic reactions are investigated using subpicosecond-to-microsecond transient absorption measurements.
