Plasma Hsp90 levels in patients with systemic sclerosis and relation to lung and skin involvement: a cross-sectional and longitudinal study

Hana Storkanova et al.

Summary: According to the study, plasma levels of Hsp90 are increased in patients with systemic sclerosis compared to healthy controls, and are associated with increased inflammatory activity, worsened lung function, and extent of skin involvement in patients with diffuse cutaneous systemic sclerosis. In patients with systemic sclerosis-associated interstitial lung disease treated with cyclophosphamide, baseline Hsp90 levels can predict changes in DLCO over 12 months of therapy.

Excited-State Intramolecular Proton Transfer: A Short Introductory Review

Hem C. Joshi et al.

Summary: Excited-state intramolecular proton transfer (ESIPT) has become an attractive research field with various aspects such as excitation wavelength dependence, anti-Kasha ESIPT, fast and slow ESIPT, reversibility and irreversibility, hydrogen bonding, and geometrical factors. Studies also involve excited-state double proton transfer (ESDPT) mechanisms including concerted and stepwise processes.

Rawia Msalmi et al.

Summary: This study presents a novel and stable 2D perovskite with dual fluorescence emission and room-temperature phosphorescence, harnessing triplet excitons through intersystem crossing. The emission color and color temperature can be tuned by varying excitation energy. Excited at 365 nm and 375 nm, the perovskite exhibits cold white-light emission with high color rendering index.

A new lead-free 1D hybrid copper perovskite and its structural, thermal, vibrational, optical and magnetic characterization

Mansoura Bourwina et al.

Summary: A hybrid material based on a 1D copper chloride perovskite network with hexahydro-1,4-diazepine was synthesized, showing good thermal stability and semiconductor properties. This compound is the first 1D copper(ii) based perovskite, paving the way for further development of perovskites as alternative lead-free materials for solar cells. Magnetic measurements indicate the absence of magnetic interactions, possibly due to the cancelation of antiferromagnetic and ferromagnetic contributions.

The impact of cation-π, anion-π, and CH-π interactions on the excited-state intramolecular proton transfer of 1,4-dihydroxyanthraquinone

Asiyeh Shahraki et al.

Summary: The impact of cation-pi, anion-pi, and CH-pi interactions on the photophysical properties of quinizarin has been investigated. These interactions affect the absorption and emission bands of the complexes, leading to a wide tunable range of fluorescence emission with exothermic excited-state proton transfer in solution. The complexes involving anion-pi interactions exhibit the largest Stokes shift.

Summary: A new 1D organic-inorganic hybrid cadmium chloride material was reported, showing bright white-light emission with high color rendering index and CIE chromaticity coordinates. The white-light emission mechanism was attributed to the synergistic emissions of free excitons and self-trapped excitons in this incredible 1D Cd-based halide.
