Doping Strategies in Sb2S3 Thin Films for Solar Cells

Purevlkham Myagmarsereejid et al.

Summary: Sb2S3 as a solar absorber material has attracted great interest due to its excellent photovoltaic properties, and efforts have been made to enhance the efficiency of Sb2S3 solar cells using approaches like interfacial, surface, and band-gap engineering, as well as doping strategies. Doping strategies show promise in controlling band gap, film morphology, and grain boundary passivation, leading to improved carrier transport, addressing one of the most challenging issues in this field.

Design of Dopant and Lead-Free Novel Perovskite Solar Cell for 16.85% Efficiency

Syed Abdul Moiz et al.

Summary: Halide based perovskite solar cells offer high efficiency, low cost, and easy fabrication, but long-term stability and environmentally friendly lead-free applications remain challenges for commercialization. This study proposed and simulated the photovoltaic response of a lead-free Cs2TiBr6 absorber and dopant-free PCBM and NPB transport layers for perovskite solar cells. Through comprehensive optimization and simulation, a maximum power conversion efficiency of up to 16.85% was achieved, slightly better than previous similar perovskite solar cells. This study not only enhances knowledge but also encourages further research on dopant and lead-free perovskite solar cells.

Cesium-doped Ti3C2Tx MXene for efficient and thermally stable perovskite solar cells

Abdulaziz S. R. Bati et al.

Summary: Ti3C2Tx MXenes doped with cesium were prepared and introduced into lead iodide precursor solution for perovskite solar cells, leading to improved crystallization, larger crystal grains, reduced charge recombination, and high photovoltaic efficiency of up to 21.57% with excellent thermal stability. The incorporation of cesium-doped Ti3C2Tx paves the way for enhancing the performance and stability of perovskite solar cells by introducing dopants indirectly.
