OH radical scavengers and ozone scavenger were found to have an impact on the efficacy of the different approaches. The experimental data was fitted to a Generalized Kinetic Model (GKM) and cost estimations were performed for the various methods.

Summary: In this study, a natural Ti- and V-enriched magnetite (Ti-V-M) was utilized as both an activator and catalyst for UV-facilitated peroxymonosulfate (PMS) degradation of bisphenol S (BPS). The synergistic action of multi-metals in Ti-V-M significantly improved the photocatalytic activity and accelerated Fe(III)/Fe(II) circulation, leading to enhanced radical generation and vital roles in BPS degradation. Moreover, the Ti-V-M system showed excellent recyclability and stability for water treatment.
