Association between sleep duration and sleep quality with sugar and sugar-sweetened beverages intake among university students

Behnoosh Boozari et al.

Summary: The study found that sleep duration was not associated with sugar or sugar-sweetened beverages (SSBs) intake in Iranian adults. Poor sleep quality was correlated with high consumption of SSBs, especially in younger and non-obese individuals. More prospective investigations are required to confirm these findings.

The association between Healthy Beverage Index and anthropometric measures among children: a cross-sectional study

Yahya Jalilpiran et al.

Summary: This study investigated the association between Healthy Beverage Index (HBI) and anthropometric measures among 6-year-old girl children. The results indicated that HBI was associated with higher odds of wasting and underweight/wasting, while consumption of high-fat milk decreased the odds of wasting among children. Further prospective studies are needed to confirm these findings.
