A review of manufacturing capabilities of cell spheroid generation technologies and future development

Dan Liu et al.

Summary: Spheroid culture provides a three-dimensional environment for cells to better mimic physiological conditions compared to monolayer culture. Continuous innovation in technologies is aimed at enhancing properties of cell spheroids. Future development should focus on improving process control, standardization, scalability, monitoring, as well as advanced methods of spheroid transfer and characterization.

Retroductal Delivery of Epidermal Growth Factor Protects Salivary Progenitors after Irradiation

J. M. Cho et al.

Summary: The study shows that retroductal delivery of EGF can protect salivary epithelial progenitor cells from radiation damage and alleviate radiation-induced salivary gland hypofunction. EGF significantly improves salivary gland function, reduces cell apoptosis, and promotes the growth of salivary epithelial cells.
