Holographic charm and bottom pentaquarks. I. Mass spectra with spin effects

Yizhuang Liu et al.

Summary: In this study, the researchers revisit the three nonstrange pentaquarks predicted using holographic dual description, showing that in the heavy quark limit, the pentaquarks with internal heavy quark spin are all degenerate. The holographic pentaquarks are dual to an instanton bound to heavy mesons in bulk, without the shortcomings related to the nature of the interaction and the choice of the hard core inherent to the molecular constructions. Additionally, the study explicitly derived spin-spin and spin-orbit couplings arising from next to leading order in heavy quark mass to lift the internal spin degeneracy.

Holographic charm and bottom pentaquarks. II. Open and hidden decay widths

Yizhuang Liu et al.

Summary: This study analyzes the decay modes of nonstrange pentaquarks with hidden charm and bottom in the heavy quark limit, predicted by holographic QCD. It shows that open charm (bottom) decay modes dominate over hidden charm (bottom) ones, with total widths consistent with recent LHCb reports on charm pentaquarks. Predictions for bottom pentaquarks are also provided. The results of this paper will be used in a follow-up study on excitations through photo-production of heavy mesons.

Overcounting of interior excitations: a resolution to the bags of gold paradox in AdS

Joydeep Chakravarty

Summary: This work investigates how single-sided and eternal black holes can contain a vast number of semiclassical excitations in their interior, proposing a new solution to resolve the paradox in entropy. By describing the interior of black holes in Hilbert space, the resolution of the paradox arising from the orthogonal relationships between these excitations is provided.
