Experimental and theoretical studies of excited states in Ir-

Summary: The properties of excited states in the negative ion of iridium were studied experimentally and theoretically. The lifetimes and binding energies of three bound excited states were measured, with agreement between experimental and calculated results. The existence of a third excited bound state was predicted and detected experimentally.
