Self-assembled inorganic chiral superstructures

Jiawei Lv et al.

Summary: Controlled assembly of inorganic nanoparticles into higher-order structures with collective functionalities, particularly chiral superstructures, has attracted significant attention due to their unique chiroptical properties and potential applications. Various strategies have been developed to prepare self-assembled inorganic chiral superstructures based on the preference of building blocks and external factors. Compared to organic counterparts, these inorganic chiral superstructures exhibit superior optical activity.

Designing caps for colloidal Au nanoparticles

Xiaoli Tian et al.

Summary: The morphology of nanostructures significantly affects their plasmonic properties. By creating and modulating various Au hats on Au nanoparticles, the plasmonic properties can be changed. The control over hat morphologies is achieved through dynamic competition between ligand absorption and metal deposition, enabling continuous adjustment of the nanostructures.

Designing and Understanding the Superior Potassium Storage Performance of Nitrogen/Phosphorus Co-Doped Hollow Porous Bowl-Like Carbon Anodes

Jiamin Chen et al.

Summary: A novel carbon-based anode material N/P-HPCB was developed for high-performance potassium-ion batteries (PIBs), demonstrating high reversible capacity, superior rate performance, and long-term cycling stability. Density-functional theory calculations and experimental validation reveal that N/P dual doping advantages facilitate adsorption/diffusion of K+ and enhance electronic conductivity in the electrode.
