Programmable interactions and emergent geometry in an array of atom clouds

Summary: Interactions play a crucial role in controlling the flow of information and creating correlations in many-body quantum systems. By programming non-local interactions in an array of atomic ensembles within an optical cavity, researchers have been able to access effective geometries with different dimensions and topologies than the physical geometry of the array.
