Modeling COVID-19 spread in small colleges

Riti Bahl et al.

Summary: A study suggests that a safe reopening of a small residential college requires strong policy from administrators and cautious behavior from students, including weekly screening tests, wearing facemasks, and reducing social activities. Comprehensive testing and facemasks are found to be the most effective single interventions to reduce total infections, while building closures may lead to infection spikes depending on student behavior. Faster return of test results can significantly reduce total infections.
