n-Heptane catalytic cracking on ZSM-5 zeolite nanosheets: Effect of nanosheet thickness

Jing Hao et al.

Summary: By adjusting the thickness of ZSM-5 zeolite nanosheets, catalytic activity can be significantly improved, especially in increasing the selectivity of light olefins. Thicker nanosheets with more micropores are conducive to improving the selectivity of products.

Catalytic cracking of n-heptane over Fe modified HZSM-5 nanosheet to produce light olefins

Jie Wang et al.

Summary: Fe modification of NS zeolite catalysts resulted in lower n-heptane cracking conversion but enhanced ethylene and propylene yields due to decreased acid content and restricted deep hydrogen transfer. The Fe@NS catalyst showed improved stability and higher light olefin yields compared to Fe/NS and parent NS catalysts.

Radical induced cracking of naphtha model compound: Using bibenzyl as a novel radical initiator

Xurui Zhang et al.

Summary: This study investigated the induction effect of bibenzyl on naphtha cracking, showing a substantial increase in the conversion of n-hexane and the generation of gaseous products. The mechanism involves the generation of benzyl radicals from bibenzyl and their interactions with alkane radicals to accelerate radical propagation reactions, ultimately leading to enhanced naphtha cracking.

Summary: Supported metal catalysts prepared using impregnation method often suffer from poor dispersion and thermal stability. In this study, it was demonstrated that self-pillared MFI zeolite nanosheets are ideal supports for immobilizing ultrasmall metal clusters, exhibiting excellent catalytic performance in various reactions.
