A scheme for direct detection of qubit-environment entanglement generated during qubit pure dephasing

Bartosz Rzepkowski et al.

Summary: A scheme for detecting qubit-environment entanglement is proposed, which only requires operations and measurements on the qubit and works for any type of interaction leading to pure dephasing, as long as the initial qubit state is pure. The detection can be done at a certain time tau after the qubit initialization in a superposition state, by comparing the post-measurement evolution to a modified evolution scheme.

Emergence and control of complex behaviors in driven systems of interacting qubits with dissipation

A. V. Andreev et al.

Summary: The research investigates the dynamics of driven multi-element quantum systems and discovers chaotic behaviors and a hyperchaotic regime in larger systems. It demonstrates that these chaotic dynamics can be efficiently controlled by a periodic driving field. Insights from the results suggest the possibility of a reduced description for the behavior of large quantum systems based on transitions between different dynamical regimes controlled by a small number of parameters.

Bidirectional Quantum Teleportation by Using Two GHZ-States as the Quantum Channel

Vikram Verma

Summary: An improved protocol for asymmetric bidirectional quantum teleportation is proposed, based on local CNOT gate operations, Bell state measurements, GHZ-state measurements, and unitary operations, using a quantum channel composed of two three-qubit GHZ states. Compared to previous protocols, this proposed protocol requires less consumption of quantum and classical resources, possesses higher intrinsic efficiency, and involves less operation complexity.

Implementation of Machine Learning in Quantum Key Distributions

Zi-Ang Ren et al.

Summary: In the future massive applications of quantum communication networks, it is important to select the optimal quantum key distributions (QKD) protocol in real-time for system security and resource optimization. Utilizing machine learning methods like random forest (RF) can provide a highly efficient and effective solution for selecting the optimal QKD protocol.

Machine learning aided carrier recovery in continuous-variable quantum key distribution

Hou-Man Chin et al.

Summary: The implementation of a machine learning framework, specifically an unscented Kalman filter (UKF), for phase noise estimation in CV-QKD systems can effectively control excess noise. Experimental results show that the UKF can ensure very low excess noise even at low pilot powers, with low variance and high stability across a wide range of pilot signal to noise ratios. This may lead to CV-QKD systems with low hardware complexity and versatility for different transmission lines.

Probabilistic teleportation of a quantum dot spin qubit

Y. Kojima et al.

Summary: We demonstrate a scheme for quantum teleportation of single-electron spin qubit in a triple quantum dot using direct Bell measurement and the Pauli exclusion principle. The single spin polarization is teleported from the input qubit to the output qubit, with fidelity primarily limited by singlet-triplet mixing, which can be improved by optimizing the device parameters. These results may be extended to quantum algorithms with a larger number of semiconductor spin qubits.

Optimal teleportation via noisy quantum channels without additional qubit resources

Dong-Gil Im et al.

Summary: This study introduces a protocol that enables optimal quantum teleportation via noisy quantum channels without additional qubit resources. By analyzing teleportation within the framework of generalized quantum measurement, the teleportation protocol for noisy quantum channels is optimized. The research provides a useful method for practically dealing with decoherence with a limited number of qubits and facilitates the realization of noisy intermediate-scale quantum computing and quantum communication.
