An alkaline electro-Fenton process has been proposed in this study, which involves the synthesis of H2O2 in KHCO3 electrolyte using an In2O3 film anode and activation of H2O2 into OH via MnO2 powder, aiming to effectively treat alkaline organic wastewater.
The traditional electro-Fenton process is unable to treat alkaline organic wastewater effectively. An alkaline electro-Fenton process has been proposed on the basis of H2O2 synthesis in the KHCO3 electrolyte using an In2O3 film anode and H2O2 activation into OH via MnO2 powder, which could overcome the deficiencies of the traditional electro-Fenton process.
