Cytocompatibility of Ti-xZr alloys as dental implant materials

Pinghua Ou et al.

Summary: Ti-xZr alloys with low elastic modulus and high mechanical strength were fabricated and evaluated for biocompatibility using cell experiments. These alloys showed superior biomechanical properties compared to pure titanium and Ti-45Zr was identified as a promising material for dental implants due to its optimal strength/elastic modulus ratio and osteogenic activity.

The effect of denture restoration and dental implant restoration in the treatment of dentition defect: a systematic review and meta-analysis

Kaihui Peng et al.

Summary: This meta-analysis compared the clinical effects of denture restoration and dental implant restoration in the treatment of dentition defects. The results showed that dental implant restoration was more effective in terms of treatment effectiveness, mastication function, retention function, aesthetics, and comfort scores compared to denture restoration.
