Spectral filtering of dual lasers with a high-finesse length-tunable cavity for rubidium atom Rydberg excitation*

Yang-Yang Liu et al.

Summary: An alternative method for spectral filtering and frequency stabilization of 780-nm and 960-nm lasers using a high-finesse length-tunable cavity (HFLTC) is proposed and demonstrated. The obtained lasers show ultra-low phase noise and narrow linewidth, which are essential for high precision atomic experiments.

Infidelity Induced by Ground-Rydberg Decoherence of the Control Qubit in a Two-Qubit Rydberg-Blockade Gate

Yangyang Liu et al.

Summary: This study investigates the coherence of ground-Rydberg transitions in a single atom subjected to various pulse sequences, particularly focusing on the CZ gate sequence. It is found that the process experienced by the control qubit atom under a two-qubit entangling process with the H-CZ controlled-NOT gate scheme is essentially similar to ground-Rydberg Ramsey interference. A theoretical model linking the decoherence time of the control qubit to the CZ pulse sequence is established, shedding light on the origins of decoherence effects and potential ways to improve fidelity of the CZ gate.

Multiple-qubit controlled unitary quantum gate for Rydberg atoms using shortcut to adiabaticity and optimized geometric quantum operations

Meng Li et al.

Summary: The proposed scheme for constructing multiple-qubit quantum logic gates in a neutral atom platform takes advantage of inverse engineering's shortcut to adiabaticity, geometric quantum operations, and optimized control theory. Geometric quantum computation ensures robustness to operational errors, while inverse engineering-based shortcut to adiabaticity speeds up the system evolution compared to adiabatic processes. Additionally, the ability to adjust the amplitude and phase of the laser fields allows for arbitrary operations on the target atom.
